We suggest you fly into Roanoke Airport, about 45 minutes from Virginia Tech. If price is a factor, you may find cheaper flights in and out of Charlotte, NC, however, it is about a 2 ½ hour drive.

 

Airport Shuttle from Roanoke

 

Airport Shuttle

  • The Roanoke Airport Transportation Service, Inc. provides an Airport Shuttle Service between Blacksburg and the Roanoke Regional Airport.
  • Vans leave from the Squires Student Center, Inn at Virginia Tech, and University Holiday Inn.
  • Reservations are required and can be made by calling 1-800-288-1958.

Blacksburg-Roanoke (SmartWay) Shuttle

The new SmartWay shuttle provides bus service between the Roanoke Valley and the Virginia Tech Campus. The bright blue SmartWay buses provide service between Squires (Alumni Mall inbound side), the Roanoke Regional Airport and downtown Roanoke.

Please download, read, and sign the Commitment Form and bring it with you to the training. All participants are required to sign this form in order to participate in the training. Extra copies will be on hand during registration.
